Your scope of responsibilities as a JLC Language Instructor
Teach kids and teens in your native language – German, English, French, Spanish or Italian. Transmit your culture and language in a light, easy and playful manner by generating authentic communicative situations and environments. You carry sole responsibility for conducting lessons, and you get to share your abilities and knowledge in your unique and individual way. Our concept serves you as an orientation framework, and our team is here to provide you with any assistance needed.
As to the forms of instruction, a variety of opportunities is provided:
Teaching Bambini (ages 3 to 7), Kids (ages 8 to 12) or Teens (ages 13 to 16) in regular mini-group classes and / or in a flexible, intensive private one-on-one setting, leading thematically-conceptualized Workshops (multiple hours on weekends) as well as week-long Language Camps during school breaks.
Qualifications and Requirements
At least 21 years of age
Native-speaker competence on one of our target languages
Documented teaching experience (e.g., completed studies in education, teaching certificates, etc.)
Knowledge of German is preferred.
Teaching and learning at the JLC is a dynamic process; therefore, pedagogical knowledge and teaching experience working with kids and teens is a priority.

We value creative individuals who are able to manage unforeseen and challenging classroom situations and, most importantly, who know how to get the kids and teens interested in and enthusiastic about their language and their way of teaching it.
